Biography
Tiffany Baker comes from a large musical family, and has played lever harp since 1999. Since 2007, she has also played triple harp. She now teaches both the lever harp and the triple harp to students of all ages.
Her mentor is Robin Ward, who is an international Triple Harpist (see Links). He also built Tiffany's triple harp. In 2015 Tiffany was awarded an Advanced Performance Certificate (with distinction) from Trinity College of London, playing on both her Lever and Triple harps. She performs and entertains around the Wellington region of New Zealand, in public concerts and for special occasions like weddings, funerals, engagement parties, birthday parties, high teas, and product launches. Contact her about your Special Occasion. Tiffany successfully competed in New Zealand chamber music contests, as well as other competitions in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. She has played for audiences of up to 2,500 people. Besides solos, she also performs in duos, trios and quartets. She has also been the harpist for local orchestras, adapting orchestral parts to work on her lever or triple harp. A highlight was to play (in Wellington and Palmerston North) Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers, the famous harp cadenza from 'The Nutcracker Suite.' In 2006, Tiffany was part of a group of five harpists playing on nationwide television on The Good Morning Show. After the group had played, she was interviewed by Sarah Bradley. Through attending harp festivals around the world, she has met many prestigious international artists, and been part of festival ensembles.
